My last few posts have been very verbose, so today I decided to KISS myself. For those who weren't reading self-help and recovery books in the 1970s and 1980s, KISS stands for Keep It Simple, Stupid. A simple concept on the surface, but when you're a complex simpleton like me, it's a hard one to grasp and maintain. I am infamous for taking on too much and relentlessly driving myself until nothing is any fun at all and I crash.

Anyway, today's Haiku is about rogue planets.

I find it both cool and terrifying that there are planets unattached to a solar system just floating around the galaxy. I believe that sometimes they may become attached to solar systems that they wander into, but don't quote me on that.

I can't stop wondering why vapid folk

always seem to be the ones with money

and why people that they wouldn't spit on

ooh and ahh about their selfish choices

why do awful people get to journey

down whatever path they choose on a whim

leaving a trail of abandoned notions

for the peons to clean up after them

why are people all too fascinated

with a Kardashian or anyone

who makes the most self-absorbed decision

everything is always about themselves

who knew milk on cereal could be good?
