Horrific destruction caused by the Mexico City earthquake.
One tends to on first thought believe that such an event is evil.
The event is neutral although it is destructive. For it to be evil, the intent to do harm must be present.
This is not to say that such an event does not cause untold suffering or leave scars on the bodies and minds of those who survive. It simply means that there is no intent on the part of the planet to cause suffering. The Earth's tectonic plates have, simply, moved, and their movement brings havoc to the infrastructure of cities built on the Earth's surface.
It is then the responsibility of humanity to be compassionate and render aid to those affected by such cataclysmic events.
