The U.S. economy is certainly the picture of an imbalanced society. Everyone worries so much about taxes, but if my taxes paid for everyone to have food, housing, medical care, and utilities taken care of, I'd be happy to pay them.
Same here in Britain. We have followed the USA, often for the better. Now the West, with, as Joe Biden said recently, the USA at 'Head of the table, has followe too faithfully. We too are worshiping the wrong God. Wealth over health. The best over the rest. Tax the poor. Privitiase health care.
