It is very difficult to believe that anything can be magical in a world which is so full of pain, suffering, and inequality.
It is hard to believe that there is anything magical when one is feeling psychological pain.
It is hard to believe that there is anything magical when some people have so much and others have nothing.
Yet in spite of being mentally ill, being betrayed time and again because I trusted the wrong people, and realizing that I will never amount to anything worthwhile.
I still have to believe that somewhere, somehow, there is something magical.
Because without this belief, there is no reason to go on.
Magic does exist.
Scientifically speaking, there is no such thing as magic, there is only science that we don't yet understand.
I don't say this sneeringly to belittle the idea of magic.
I'm not that sort of person.
The fact that the Universe exists is magic.
Being scientific does not believe that one can't believe in things that we can't yet understand.
In fact, it's rather unscientific not to believe in possibilities.
Peace,
Lily
