Because I have type 2 bipolar disorder, my depression may appear to be simply the flip side of my hypomania. To a degree it is that, but it also has nuances all its own. It is actually a more powerful aspect than the hypomania.
The hypomania is a fleeting period of productivity and belief in myself.
The depression is with me always, and it is not strictly a product of my mood disorder.
