Simple truth.
It always amazes me (in a negative way) how we are human all, and yet we hate and destroy each other. How is this possible? So many still in darkness and locked in a nightmere of their own making.
I love this image and the thoughts you have expressed to accompany it. Or perhaps the image was chosen to accompany the thoughts? Either way, wonderful!
I agree with what Ace (Mysterious Spectre) has said. Many people refuse to open their eyes to the suffering of others, which creates more suffering.

The Mysterious Spectre>>> (Great sobriquet!) There is far too much division in this world we inhabit. Racial, Class, Gender, Politics, Religion. Comparison causes a great deal of trouble as does avarice. These traits turn to hate for others rather than the individual examining themselves and making a change.
