One would think that making a move towards this sort of food production would be obvious. It always takes an eternity for such ideas to catch on large scale.
It has always boggled my mind when locally grown produce and locally raised meat are shipped off across the country (or to another country entirely) and then that community's food supply is brought in from somewhere else. One would think that utilizing food from nearby farms would be the logical answer.
Things are much more complicated than they have to be, and it ends up costing the consumer more. I am a great proponent of the movement to utilize food grown and raised locally.
We need to listen to our war veterans, and yet we don't. The story he recounts is a terrible one, so many lives lost.
War is not a glamorous or an exciting thing. It is a blight on humanity. As long as there are those whose main motivation is greed and power over others, we will have war. As long as we have war, we will continue to repeat the cycle of suffering. And so it goes on.
A thoughtful discussion by Jason Cockrell regarding Libertarian ideology.
I enjoyed listening to this young man. He presents his ideas in a calm and rational manner, which makes me want to hear more of what he has to say. He seems to have thought things through before making his presentation. I subscribed to his channel because I would like to hear more of his thoughts.
As well as the card layout for the Healing spell from the Tarot Spells book by Janina Renee, these cards were chosen to represent the elements of the Pentacle.
Heaven: St. Anthony of Padua (from the Saints and Angels deck.)
Air: Financial Flow from the Healing with the Fairies deck
Water: Self-forgiveness from the Magical Mermaids and Dolphins deck
Earth: Rabbit from the Medicine Cards for Today deck (release fears)
Fire: Trust and Faith from the Past Lives deck
It has been a while since I was able to do a spell. I experienced a period of fairly severe depression and did not wish to add those energies to the mix. I was also very busy, the kind of busy that curtails creative and mystical energies. So, there you have it.
My special friend's particular needs are changeable at this point. A recent brain scan reveals that his physical brain has shrunk to approximately 2/3 the size that it was when he was first diagnosed with the disease process causing his dementia, and there is a large hole in the memory area. It is highly unlikely (at least according to known physical laws) that his body can regenerate this brain tissue.
However, he seems to thrive on the healing spell, regardless of whether or not it can help him physically. I always feel his energies growing warm and strong when I do this spell on his behalf, and he always thanks me with a warm hug that I can physically feel.
The cards reveal that I'm doing the right thing. St. Anthony's message is "You've found it!" I feel that I have, when I'm not filling the garden of my psyche with the weeds of doubt. So I'm going to keep doing it.
The self-forgiveness card is not only for me but for my friend. He has some powerful issues to work out in order to forgive himself so he can let go of the self-punishment that binds him to a very sick body. Then the body will either miraculously heal, or it will release its hold so his spirit can be free.
He is a very sweet person who made some mistakes that he continues to punish himself for. I have promised him that I will do my best to help him work through these. At one point he begged me to do a spell to release his spirit from his body. I told him that I couldn't do that in good conscience. He then apologized for asking me to do such a thing.
Bad things do happen to good people. I don't claim to understand why. The Buddhist view of the material plane being a plane of suffering is the one that makes most sense to me. Doing right will not exempt us from suffering, but it will help our souls and the souls of others to evolve.
