"Bow Down Mister"

The following YouTube clip isn't particularly 'spiritual,' nor is it, in spite of the glorious sound generated, Hindu. Boy George is not Hindu. He suggests he is Buddhist Catholic? Don't ask me but I know which one I'd prefer. Boy George's witty lines poke gentle fun at Hinduism ("You can eat a sacred cow, you'll get karma anyhow.") yet manage to capture the feel of a Hindu chant whilst merging it with Gospel.

My reason for posting it on 'One Love' has more to do with the fact that it rather reminds me of something I wrote in the first Fekenham Tales book. In the story Vicar Elvis Linkthorpe, at his weekly sermon, has his choir chant 'Hare Krishna' music to a gospel accompaniment. I thought it funny and this song by Boy George captures perfectly, the ending anyway, what I heard in my head!

I really like Boy George. He marches to his own drummer, and he tries to bring a little joy into the world. I think we could do with more people like him.
